A Balanced diet is one that gives your body nutrients so that it functions properly. In order to have healthy diet we have to obtain calories from Fresh fruits, Whole grains, Legumes, Lean proteins, Nuts, Fresh vegetables .Calories is the energy that is stored in the food which is transferred to our body when we eat the food. Men require more calories when compared to women. Not only source of daily calories important along with it how much you take it also important. Why it’s important that our diet to be Balanced..?



Importance of Balanced Diet


According to medical science healthy diet keeps you strong and without proper nutrients our cells and tissues doesn’t work properly. Good healthy diet is necessary so that proper sufficient nutrients are supplied to your body. Without proper nutrients your body will become more sensitive which results in disease, infection, food poisoning, drowsiness, fatigue. Due to improper diet many children will perform badly in their academics. Because of improper diet diseases like Heart disease, Stroke, Cancer, Diabetes will easily attack our body. Hence having a proper diet in your life is very much important.


 Balanced Diet Plans

  • Eat fresh fruits daily.
  • Eat fresh vegetables daily – Dark leafy green vegetables like spinach, green beans etc.
  • Eat grains along with shells. Shells contain more nutrients. Prefer whole grain products in your diet.
  • Eat meat, beans, peas, almonds, walnuts which are primary source for proteins. Remove the skin and visible fat layer of the meat to reduce the amount of cholesterol.
  • Daily dairy products in your diet help to gain calcium, Vitamin D and some nutrients.
  • Consume low sugar low fat oils in limited quantity.

·        Reduce Alcohol, Refined grains, Solid fats, Saturated fats, more salt and more sugar in your foods and also maintaining proper time and cleanliness to eat the food daily is also part of Balanced diet.
